South Dakota State Library Services: School Library Boot Camp

A list of services provided by the South Dakota State Library.

What is Boot Camp?

School Library Boot Camp is a multi-day, annual training opportunity for all types of educators - librarians, classroom teachers, technology integrationists, reading specialists, paraprofessionals, administrators, etc. This wo credit college course offered by Black Hills State University and the SD State Library and may be taken at either the undergraduate or graduate level. 

All hotel reservations and costs, as well as meals and transportation costs are the responsibility of the individual student. Full scholarships are available for tuition costs.

Some evening hours are required. Students will need to bring an Internet-ready device. Wi-Fi will be provided.

Registration opens each spring.
